UPDATE: I thought about doing a new post about how Michael Guglielmucci (the guy who wrote this song) faked having cancer. But then I decided against it. I really don’t want to have any part of beating a guy when he is down. Too many times restoration is not even an option and that just kills me. So instead of making a new post and splashing it all over, I just wanted to amend my original post.
While what Michael has allegedly done is reprehensible, let’s not take any comfort in other people’s sorrow. Let us be the church Jesus wants us to be an pick up our fellow brothers when they are in need. I still love this song and I pray that Michael and his family are completely restored through the grace God gives in Jesus Christ.
