Friday Fun Post: My day in an elementary school

Posted by Matt Lane on January 14th, 2011 filed in family, Kids

I spent the day volunteering at Brayden and Taylor’s school today and here are my top observations:

  • Kids of all ages smell
  • LOTS of kids pick there nose. And it’s finger lickin’ good
  • Third graders learn things way earlier that I did
  • School lunches are still gross
  • I needed a nap after the HARD work I put in
  • Teachers are still mostly female
  • My son sits in the middle of two girls
  • I still get nervous when teachers ask me to do something in class
  • Building styrofoam igloos with pre-kindergartners is like taping ice cubes together
  • I am not smarter than a third grader
